Effective July 2008, the Global Education and Career Development Center (GECDC) was formed.  This realignment of the Study Abroad and Distinguished Fellowships Office and the MIT Careers Office into a more integrated organization enhances MIT’s ability to impact student development of key global and career competencies.  The GECDC is comprised of two offices, the Global Education Office (GEO) and the Career Development Center (CDC).

The Global Education Office (GEO) champions global education by strengthening strategic and operational effectiveness of the study abroad and distinguished fellowships functions as well as providing value-added services related to MIT's global education initiative more broadly.

The Career Development Center (CDC) offers comprehensive and holistic career services and programs that will challenge and support students in exploring the full range of life opportunities available to them.

Through greater integration of these areas and enhanced programs and services, the new Global Education and Career Development Center aims to empower MIT students and alumni to achieve lifelong success.  Please click on the links at the top of the page to learn more about each office or contact Melanie Parker at mlparker@mit.edu or 3-7519.
